This portal is run by the Association of Leaders of Local Civic Groups. We aim at creating a virtual platform for exchanging experience and views among organizations interested in protection of public interest and effective social control.
The Association of Leaders of Local Civic Groups is an all-Poland organization focused on participation in and transparency of local public life. We were invited by the Stefan Batory Foundation to lead an internet portal supporting the development of watchdog organizations in Poland and to create a platform for exchanging experience with organizations from other Central and Eastern European countries through the annually organized seminars. This is a complementary activity to the Watchdog Initiatives Program www.batory.org.pl/english/watchdog/. Within the latter, the Stefan Batory Foundation organizes call for applications for Polish NGOs interested in conducting monitoring in chosen areas or as a response for the alerting situation in some community or group.
